7th Conference of the Geological Society of Trinidad and Tobago 2022
11th - 13th July, 2022 08:00 - 18:00 AST
The Geological Society of Trinidad and Tobago (GSTT) is hosting its 7th Geological Conference from July 11th-13th, 2022. The theme for the Conference -"Geoscience of the Future: Adapt, Innovate, Evolve”, is an acknowledgement of the rapid recent changes in the world of technology and its integration into all aspects of the geological sciences including the petroleum sector. The Conference, held every five (5) years, will focus on how we address, adapt, and reinvent ourselves to align with these changes. The ongoing pandemic dictates that the Conference be planned as a hybrid event over three days - beginning with an inperson opening day ceremony and panel discussion for invited guests, sponsors and facilitators, followed by virtual presentations, discussions and exhibitions. Additionally, we are offering an additional two days of virtual and onsite field trips and short courses. As the Society continues to monitor the pandemic, plans may incorporate in-person attendance, to allow for on-site interaction and networking for our sponsors and participants. However, the virtual platform which the Society will be utilizing will allow for a global audience reach, as well as person to person interactions, at the attendees’ convenience.
